This full-bodied, sweet Port wine from the Neukomm Winery in Hallau in the Klettgau region (Schaffhausen) was carefully aged from the 2018 vintage and exhibits the typical depth and warmth of a classic fortified wine. The addition of brandy during fermentation preserves some of the wine’s natural sweetness, resulting in a particularly concentrated and aromatic flavor profile.
In the glass, it displays a deep, dark ruby- to garnet-red color. The bouquet is intense and complex, with aromas of ripe dark berries, plums, cherries, and dried fruits, accompanied by notes of chocolate, vanilla, and subtle spices.
On the palate, the port is full-bodied, smooth, and harmonious. The sweet fruit is supported by a pleasant warmth and well-integrated tannins. The long, velvety finish leaves impressions of dark fruit and subtle spice.
